Full day visit of the spots connected with Fr Eymard. Blessed Sacrament Chapel and Saint Suplice. Notre Dame Cathedral and Notre Dame des Victoires. Visit the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal in Rue de Bac where Our Lady appeared to St Catherine Laboure Overnight in Paris

 

Day 4 May 17, 2015, Sunday,

Paris

Morning city tour of Paris. See the major sites of Paris such as the Eiffel Tower, Arch of Triumph, Place de la Concorde and Montmarte. Afternoon on your own. Overnight in Paris.

 

Day 5 May 18, 2015, Monday,

Paris- Paray-le-Monial

Departure to Paray-le-Monial– the village where St Margaret Mary Alacoque experienced visions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the sixteenth century. Highlights of our visit include a Mass at Chapel of Apparitions (for a Special Mass), the room of the relics of St Margaret Mary, (inside the Chapel), the Diorama of St Margaret (at the Parc des Chapelains, behind the Chapel, the Diorama is showed all the time, without booking) and the visit of the Eucharist Museum, Overnight.

Paray-Le-Monial, Ars-sur-formans-Lyon

Visit the Sanctuaire d’Ars

In the past century, Ars was a small French village, for many years, home of religious life throughout the country. Between 1818 & 1859, St John Vianney’s name was on the lips of thousands of people, and so great was the influx of pilgrims, the train company serving the district had to open a special office in the city of Lyon in order to deal with the traffic between this great city and the small village of Ars, the cause of all this a simple unique priest.

The Curé of Ars as we know was born near Lyon, 1786. He had to overcome many difficulties to finally reach priesthood. He was entrusted with the parish of Ars, in the diocese of Belley, and the saint, with active preaching, mortification, prayer and charity, governed, and promoted admirably spiritual advancement. He was endowed with extraordinary qualities as confessor, which made the faithful borrowed from around the country to seek forgiveness from God.

In the afternoon transfer to Lyon, for overnight.

Lyon- La Mure- La Salette

Visits: House of St Eymard, Church where he got baptised

In the afternoon transfer to La Salette located in a high alpine pasture in the French Alps, La Salette is the site where the Virgin Mary appeared in 1846 to two shepherds, Melanie Matthew and Maximin Gird. Our Lady appeared to these shepherds crying, lamenting over the lack of observance of Sundays and profaning of her Son’s holy name. A spring forever marks the spot where the Virgin appeared and where millions of pilgrims come in order to drink the fresh spring water and to pray. The stunning mountain scenery and lush mountain trails make La Salette one of the most spectacular pilgrim site in France, with a beautiful Basilica built to honour the Virgin Mary.

Visits at La Salette, 1770 metres of height, famous for the apparition of Our Lady on 19th September 1846 to 2 little children. Mass. Transfer to Marseille

 

Day 10, May 23, 2015, Saturday

Marseille- Lourdes

Departure for Lourdes. Overnight Lourdes. Private Devotions. Attend blessing of the sick in the afternoon and Candlelight procession at night after dinner. The Grotto is open 24 hours.

 

Day 11, May 24, 2015, Sunday

Lourdes

Private Devotions- Bath at the Sanctuary, Confessions, Mass, Way of the Cross You can also visit the ‘Lacadé water-mill’ which was the house of Bernadette’s parents after the visions, a gift from Abbot Peyramale, priest of the parish. Inside you will discover the furniture, objects and pictures which belonged to the Soubirous family. Also outside the sanctuary you can visit the Moulin de Boly, Bernadette’s birthplace.

 

Day 12, May 25, 2015, Monday

Lourdes-Cangas de Onis

Visit to the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Covadonga. Mass. Continuation to Santiago de Compostela

 

Day 14, May 27, 2015, Wednesday

Santiago de Compostela

Today, proceed to discover Santiago de Compostela, the capital of the region of Galicia. Millions of people from all over the world come to this city every year with many of them reaching the end of Way of Saint James pilgrimage route. Its historic centre has been designated a UNESCO World heritage site. Visit the famous Cathedral of Santiago. Once inside you will be carried away by the emotions produced by the sight of so many extraordinary valuable works of art. Tradition invites us to perform some rites: The most important and meaningful one is the hug to the Saint, go under the main altar and visit the Crypt where the relics of St James are preserved

 

Day 15, May 28, 2015, Thursday

Santiago de Compostela- Fatima

After breakfast, check out then drive to Fatima. After check in visit the Sacred Sanctuary of Fatima where the tombstones of Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco are, in addition to the Chapel of Apparitions– the heart of the shrine. It was the first edifice constructed in the Cova da Iria, at the place of Our Lady’s Apparitions.

The exact spot is marked by a marble pillar on which the Stature of Our Lady is placed. Here converge the four million pilgrims who visit the Sanctuary each year. After dinner, attend the touching Candle Light procession at the Sanctuary grounds. Dinner and Overnight in Fatima.

 

Day 16, May 29, 2015, Friday

Fatima

To better understand the life of the 3 little pastors, we will visit the house where they were born in Ajustrel. See the well in the garden of Lucia’s home where the ‘Angel of Peace’, the ‘Angel of Portugal’, appeared for the second time (in the summer of 1916) Drive to Valinhos, the site of Our Lady’s appearance after the children’s return from prison.

 

Day 17, May 30, 2015, Saturday

Fatima-Lisbon

Transfer to Lisbon.

Enroute stop at Santarem for lunch and visit the Church of the Miracle formerly known as St Stephen’s Church to see the oldest recorded Eucharistic Miracle of Santarem. Continue to Lisbon and city tour upon arrival.

See major sites of the city such as the Belém Tower, a fortified tower located in the civil parish of Santa Maria de Belém. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site (along with the nearby Jerónimos Monastery) because of the significant role it played in the Portuguese Maritime Discoveries of the era of the Age of Discoveries. See the Monument of Discoveries built to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the death of Prince Henry the Navigator. Visit the Igreja de San Antonio, the Church dedicated to St Anthony of Lisbon, best known as St Anthony de Padua.
