Mass at the Divine Mercy Shrine at 3 pm

The Divine Mercy Shrine is a Catholic monument in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental Philippines. It features a 15.24 meter statue of Jesus as the Divine Mercy as the focal point of Divine Mercy Hills, a tract of land overlooking Macajalar Bay on the southern island of Mindanao.

The nine-hectare land for the Shrine was purchased for a nominal amount and the complex was paid for by donations. The shrine was completed in 2008 and serves as a pilgrimage site for Divine Mercy devotees.

Visit Simala Church

Simala, is a place for people who believes in miracles, this place has been known to be miraculous. The Monastery of the Holy Eucharist is a church in Sibonga for the Marian devotees. The church is very popular among believers not only because it is considered the home of the image of the miraculous Virgin but also because the place is truly amazing and spectacular. The Monastery is the place where the ‘Mga Monghe ni Maria’ lives.

As you go inside Simala, you will see different letters for Mama Mary, giving thanks to her for the different things that happened to different people, like they are thanking, they had been able to walk, able to see and many more. Furthermore, from students, they thanked that they had passed for their board exams. Inside the church, you will see a lot of things on display as a proof of Mother Mary’s miracles to the lives of the devotees. The place is very peaceful and it is a good place to show your faithfulness to Mama Mary, although it is far from the City. Most people who visit Simala Church, will have their wishes granted. Others will have their lives changed and experience different other miracles.

Blood Compact Site

The Site commemorates the first treaty of friendship between the white and brown races. Spanish conquistador Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and local chieftain Rajah Sikatuna sealed the treaty by drinking wine mixed with blood thus it was called ‘Blood compact’ or ‘Sandugo.’

 

Baclayon Church

Visit ‘INA’ the Virgin of Peñafrancia

The Basilica Minore de Nuestra Señora de Peña de Francia serves as the home of the revered Our Lady of Peñafrancia, and is one of the important landmarks of one of Bicol’s foremost cities.

This beautiful church in Naga City is steeped in a beautiful story and a rich history. The Peñafrancia Basilica Minore houses an image of the Virgin Mary that was sculpted in 1710. It was commissioned by Dominican priest Miguel Robles de Covarrubias who, as stories have it, was personally blessed by the Virgin and was witness to some of her miracles.

Our Lady of Peñafrancia Shrine is a Roman Catholic church in the Philippines located in Naga, Camarines Sur. It is under the jurisdiction of the Ecclesiastical Province of the Archdiocese of Caceres. The church was formerly the home of the image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia, before the Peñafrancia Basilica was constructed. Our Lady of Peñafrancia is one of East Asia’s greatest sites of Christian pilgrimage.

The parish church is also the location of the Plaza Miguel Robles de Covarrubias, where the Traslacion procession of Our Lady of Peñafrancia begins, opening the Peñafrancia Festival.

Visita Iglesia :

Known as one of the oldest Roman Catholic Churches in the Philippines, the St. Gregory the Great Cathedral features itself as one of the tourist attractions and one the most prominent landmarks in the Old Albay District of Legazpi. It is located nearby Peñaranda Park, Legazpi City Hall and Provincial Capitol in the province of Albay.

The Cathedral of St. Gregory the Great is also known locally as the Cathedral of San Gregorio Magno and Albay Cathedral. It is the Episcopal Seat of the Diocese of Legazpi and it is one of the massive churches found in the City where one can have a good view of Mt. Mayon Volcano on a clear day.

The first church was a wooden chapel developed by early Spanish missionaries who moved into town in 1580s. There were unnoted renovations and reconstructions until 1754 when the church was ruined and buried during the eruption of Mayon Volcano.

 

Daraga Church

Nuestra Señora de la Porteria Parish Church (also Our Lady of the Gate Parish Church), commonly known as Daraga Church, is a Roman Catholic Church in the municipality ofDaraga, Albay, Philippines under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Legazpi. The church was built by the Franciscans in 1772 under the patronage of the Our Lady of the Gate. Certain church sections were declared as a National Cultural Treasure of the Philippines in 2007.

 

St Raphael Church

The original church was built in 1834 through the generosity of Pedro Romero. This church was extensively damaged in the Second World War and has since been reconstructed to its present form. This church has a unique attractions, the present St. Raphael Church is its altar table made of a single block of solid hardened lava. The feast day of St. Raphael, the Archangel is held every 24th of the month in October which is also celebrated as the fiesta of Legazpi Port.

 

Our Lady of Fatima Church

Our Lady of Fatima Parish Church is a modern church built in the late 90s along Tahao Road. It is dedicated to the Our Lady of Fatima and is a popular church for weddings.

 

Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine

This quaint little chapel is perched on top of a hill overlooking the Legazpi Port District. The shrine is unique among churches in Legazpi because of its life-size Stations of the Cross lining the stairs from the bottom of the hill to the chapel on top and a huge statue of the Lady of Guadalupe at the summit.

 

Redemptorist Church

This small church and convent located in Gogon, Legazpi is a perfect place for reflection and meditation because of its quiet and peaceful ambience. It is the home of the devotion to the Lady of Perpetual Help, who is venerated every Wednesday.

St. Jude Church This small church located on the busy Lapu-Lapu Street in the central business district is dedicated to St. Jude Thaddeus. Despite its small size, it is always packed with devotees during the Thursday masses.
