Tubbataha Reef

Cagayancillo, Palawan

Since Tubbataha Reef was discovered by divers in the late 1970s, it has been recognised as one of the most magnificent coral reefs on our planet. It is the Philippine’s first national marine park and is also ranked among the top eight dive sites in the world on the CNN travel website.

Tubbataha Reef can only be visited on a liveaboard boat. Its majestic underwater terrain, beautiful biodiversity, including large marine animals like manta rays, sharks and turtles. According to, Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is home to no less than:

  • 600 species of fish
  • 360 species of corals (about half of all coral species in the world)
  • 11 species of sharks
  • 13 species of dolphins & whales
  • 100 species of birds
  • And also nesting Hawksbill & Green Sea turtles
